This was our holiday wedding that mistakenly didn’t get posted. So I’m going to post it now. We found ourselves back at the beautiful International Student House in Bethesda Maryland. The last time we were there was for Brette and Dominic’s wedding. This wedding was from this past Christmas at the International Student House in Bethesda Maryland. Is there any better way for family to celebrate the holiday season but to see a young couple in their family commit their love to one another, I didn’t think so.

What can you say about the sweetest 14 year old girl on the planet? Well I’m not sure, but Sara was amazing to work with. When I asked Sara how it feels to be a freshman now she replied, “no different really, just smarter”. This carefree, obviously witty young girl, had such a fantastic grasp on reality that just blew me away. I have always had my share of stereotypes about teenagers, and I fit that stereotype perfectly myself, but Sara changed all of that for me on this day.

After a 10 year career as an advanced optical and image processing Engineer for some of the largest defense contractors in the country and a lifelong passion for wedding and portrait photography I discovered a few very simple truths. One: we all want to look our absolute best. Two: It takes a team of tools and expertise to create the best image possible, one talent isn’t enough. And finally: a great photographer for your event is a must, but a talented image processor is just as important if not more important to make you look your best. So although we consider ourselves artist behind the camera, we’re also artists behind the computer.

We have dedicated a great deal of our time and effort creating an industry leading retouching algorithm. This retouching process is very sensitive to variation in skin tone, extremely efficient at removing blemishes/physical marks and making your skin look the best on your special day. And lets be honest, we all want that.

Now of course this process is proprietary and only used for our clients images, however in the coming months we plan to release a series of digital shorts that will put some very basic techniques in your hands and show you how to look your best in photographs.
