Dear Mama,
I just wanted to take a moment to say Happy Birthday! My heart is broken knowing that I can’t give you a hug or see your beautiful smile. Your birthday is just a reminder to me that you’re not here with me anymore, but it also reminds me that you’re always in my heart. I love you and miss you more than I can even understand. And I have moved on with my life as you would have wanted, but that doesn’t change my need to see that sparkle in your eyes again, or knowing by the look on your face that you are proud of me. I just wish I could have five minutes with you just to experience you again. I know deep in my heart you are with me and that I will see you again, in the meantime, just know you are missed. I had the same moment today and many tears came to me privately. I am so sorry we have lost mom, but I am especially sorry for you because you had more special moments with her that were different from my special moments. Your post was beautiful. Thank you. I miss her too.
